A third Optometry Tomorrow Bitesize event was delivered in Manchester last weekend by the College of Optometrists.

The event attracted over 150 attendees, incorporating the best-received sessions from Optometry Tomorrow 2015, including myopia and soft contact lenses, and changing the optometrist’s role from correcting to treating by Professor Bruce Evans (pictured).

The Optometry Tomorrow Bitesize programme consisted of lectures, workshops and peer discussion sessions, including one for independent prescribers.

David Parkins, president of the College of Optometrists, said: ‘Optometry Tomorrow Bitesize provides a whole package in a convenient one day event – we included a great mixture of peer discussions, workshops and practical experience – everything our members say they want and need to be able to take back into practice. And at just £60 for members, it’s great value too.’
