Nearly 100 students from 12 UK universities participated in Out of the Box Optics’ Optoversity Challenge 2025, all while raising funds for Vision Care for Homeless People (VCHP).
Now in its ninth year, the annual competition began with first and second-year students testing their optical knowledge in an online challenge on Sunday, February 16, while also highlighting the work of companies supporting this year’s competition.

The final stage saw third-year students competing in-person on Saturday, February 22, at the Optical Express Eye Clinic in Bristol and Optegra’s Eye Hospital in Manchester.
