Optrafair registration could go on the web

Visitors to next month's Eyefashion 2000 show can now register for tickets via the internet. If successful it could mean registration to Optrafair in 14 months' time will take place via new media.

Organisers confirmed this week that the Eyefashion website had received more than 1,000 'hits' since it was established last year and that exhibitors to the show are now being offered website pages at subsidised rates. The event, the first of its kind, will be held at London's Business Design Centre in Islington. Organised by the group behind Optrafair, the Ophthalmic Exhibitors' Association (OEA), it will take place between March 31 and April 2 and coincides with the College of Optometrists' conference which is also being held in London. 'The Eyefashion website has turned out to be hugely popular with exhibitors and visitors,' said OEA chairman John Hockney. 'If registration through the site proves popular then we will certainly consider it for Optrafair 2001.' - www.eyefashion2000.com
