Europe's largest one-day optical conference is just two weeks away, earlier this year than previously as UK practitioners ensure they fulfil their CET point commitment before the year end.
The 12th Professional Advancement Committee (PAC) annual clinical conference, organised by Specsavers but open to all practitioners, attracted more than 1,600 delegates in 2005.
This year's event at the ICC in Birmingham, promises to 'help you find the solutions', and comprises three parallel tracks: clinical, dispensing and contact lenses. A barcode system ensures delegates receive the correct points.
Six CET credits are available for each lecture programme, with up to nine more available through three specially commissioned MCQ quizzes, compiled by Optician clinical editor Bill Harvey. These quizzes will be delivered in paper-based and CD-Rom format and can be completed after the event. A total of eight contact lens credits are available.
