A Stourbridge optometrist has been cleared of alleged deficient professional performance at a GOC hearing.
Jennifer Carole Holmes had been accused of failing to carry out a number of tests on four patients during an assessment in January 2007.
After a two-day hearing, a fitness to practise panel decided there was a minor inadequacy in relation to record keeping, but this did not amount to deficient professional performance.
The panel found that Holmes had not adequately recorded cup disc ratios for the four patients, but it rejected claims she had not adequately assessed the near visual acuity of a patient or performed a visual field examination on a 61-year-old.
