A patient who helped mark the founding of Specsavers in Ashford 15 years ago has returned to the practice for a work experience placement. School student Ellie Smith, 17, returned to Ashford having been its first ever child patient when she was 18 months old.
Smith, who has suffered from amblyopia, said: 'As I have been affected by my squint my whole life I have always been interested in eye heath. Having recently considered my future I have decided I want to study optometry at university. My work experience at Specsavers is such a great opportunity to learn as much as possible before I finish secondary school and start my studies.'
