GOC launches recruitment drive for new members

It said a dispensing optician was required for its education committee, to advise on matters relating to optical training, education and assessment, while its registration committee was looking for a director, manager, secretary or other similar officer.

The GOC also published its strategic plan for 2017/20 last week, with a strong focus on education.

‘It should be no surprise that education is at the heart of our strategic plan. The professions we regulate are changing fast and new technology could render obsolete some of the ways in which our registrants have worked for decades,’ added GOC chair Gareth Hadley.
