The latest range introduces the company's new beta-titanium frames for the first time, and features 15 acetate, 62 metal and nine titanium models in total. De Rigo says its B-titanium frames, manufactured from a new alloy - 74 per cent titanium, 4 per cent aluminium and 22 per cent vanadium - offer exceptional lightness and allow intricate detailing previously unavailable. It adds that the main collection emphasises the trend towards metal frames, with minimalist shapes and slender sides. This year's colours range from black, brown and grey to brighter shades of blue, red and green. The collection's leading styles include model 2505, an oval metal frame with a curved bridge, available in black, chestnut, silver and blue. Model 1321 is a square, thick-rimmed acetate frame with angled sides, and flexible temples to prevent stretching This comes in chestnut, caramel, black and tortoiseshell. Model 2524 is a classic oval frame in steel, which is available in blue, green, chestnut and black. It features coloured transparent acetate sleeves that cover the frame's tips. - For further information on the 1999/2000 Police collection contact De Rigo on 01923 249491.
