Essilor's 2006 third quarter results have revealed a consolidated revenue increase from last year of 7.8 per cent like-for-like from €833m to €895m.
Essilor said it continued to benefit from sustained demand for Varilux Physio progressive lenses and continued growth of other lens categories including variable tint lenses, high-index materials and anti-reflective lenses.
Companies acquired or consolidated in 2005 and 2006 accounted for 3.2 per cent of growth, the company added.
