Contact lenses could help patients fulfil their post-pandemic ambitions, according to research in the US that explored opportunities for optical practices after Covid-19.
Studies carried out by the Contact lens Institute found that patient attitudes had changed from before the pandemic, which presented an opportunity to discuss their lifestyle and eye care.
Its survey found that 89% of respondents said their eyesight was important to the pursuit of a promising future and they were willing to spend more on things that improved those prospects, including healthcare.
Stan Rogaski, executive director at the Contact Lens Institute, said: ‘That’s why we have launched the See Tomorrow initiative, encouraging the eye care community and consumers alike to think about how vision and contact lenses play sizable roles in fulfilling their hopes for the future.’
