Drunk driver disrupts optical practice's appointments
A teenage girl has been arrested after it was claimed she stole a car while drunk and crashed it into an optical practice near Swansea.
The front window and much of the fittings were destroyed when the stolen car crashed backwards into the practice late last Friday evening (March 18). The practice had to close on the following day and couldn’t tell patients with appointments as the PMS system could not be accessed remotely.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: ‘Two teenage girls, aged 15 and 16, have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking. The 15-year-old has also been arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level is above the limit.’
