Practitioners gear up for national campaign

Organisers of National Eye Health Week have made a final call to practitioners that it is not too late to become involved by downloading publicity material, posters and patient information.

Organisers of National Eye Health Week have made a final call to practitioners that it is not too late to become involved by downloading publicity material, posters and patient information.

Those wishing to become involved with the event, which will take place from June 14-20, can download publicity materials and contact its organisers via the website www.visionmatters.org.uk.

Since the initiative was first announced in Optician in November 2009 (News 20.11.09) it has gathered significant momentum and will be supported by events including a parliamentary reception, UK Vision Conference and an awareness day at the Department of Health.

The inaugural event was created to unify the optics industry in promoting eye health rather than through a number of individual projects organised by different organisations.
