The companies, which were purchased by the German Pro-Laser organisation in 1999, will move their operations to the Rochester Airport Industrial Centre during December. The site is a 7,600sq ft facility a mile away from the M2 and 11 miles off the M25. From 2001 the 'technology centre' will stock the Rodenstock and Weco instrument ranges, including the Henson group of visual field analysers. Barry Dibble, the Rodenstock UK director responsible for its capital equipment division, has been appointed executive vice-president for Pro-Laser. He said: 'It's business as usual as far as Rodenstock Instruments, Weco, Henson and Magnon are concerned. We may be changing our name but that's all.' Mr Dibble said Pro-Laser has some 'very exciting plans' for its UK business which would be revealed at the Optrafair show in April. The only difference practitioners will notice, he claimed will be the name and address on the company's letterheads.
