Seven shades for Ray-Ban opticals
Seven shades for Ray-Ban opticals
Pictured below is the RB5042 - star of the Ray-Ban woman communication campaign for the season. The 'striking square frame' confidently interprets the latest fashion trends with cutting-edge colours and materials'. Transparent plastic assists in bringing out the 'fresh and feminine' tones of the frame in glossy caramel shades, including orange, cherry and candy pink.
The Ray-Ban logo is picked out in relief on the flex sides, while chunky lines taper at the tips to reveal the metal core - 'a defining feature for the more transparent versions of the frame'.
There are a total of seven shades to choose from, including ice white and the two-plate version, a frame that is black on the outside and transparent inside, creating a 'sophisticatedly elegant, utterly fashion-conscious look'.
Ray-Ban explained that its collection was the result of meticulous styling that succeeded in translating the best of the latest trends into a range of ever-contemporary eyewear. 'Ray-Ban embodies a unique style of its own, a style seen on the faces of millions of people around the world,' the company added.

Range 'to suit every face'
The frames, which include seven supras, 10 full frames and a new rimless model, are available in soft shapes and colours to 'suit every face'.
The supras are designed for men and women with the exception of the 510 gents' frame (pictured) which features heavier solid sides and a strong metal top. It comes in brown, silver and gunmetal to suit a 56 eye and is ideal for multi-focals. All full frames are metal, with some titaniums and feature ovals, rectangles and squares. Frames can be all-in glazed to prescription at special prices.
Top coating
Hi Vision ViewProtect is a top layer that optimises visual performance and comfort while ensuring lenses attract less dust, are easy to clean, and are oil and water repellent, said the company. It added that Hilux combined Hoya's premium anti-reflection multicoat with an affordable and efficient lens design.
Sporty inserts
The patented US design also has a choice of polycarbonate lens shields in pearly oysters, greys and browns. The four variable sized interchangeable bridges also come in a small zipped clip-on case.
'WindRams are a tremendously versatile, high impact product - suitable for any age, sex and sporting need. They can also be promoted for general leisure wear. The magnetic prescription insert is so easy to glaze, yet fits snugly into the wrap and the margins for dispensing are excellent,' said Norville's Paul Walden.
Sunglass drive from Lotus Eyewear
Designed by Andrew Actman, they also meet European safety standards, including the British Standard BS EN 1836.
'More and more motorists now realise the visual performance, comfort and protection provided by a pair of good quality sunglasses and the new styles have been designed with their particular needs in mind,' he said.
All have lightweight CR39 lenses and are tinted to Category 3 so that they are dark enough to shield from the low winter sun, for visual comfort while driving.
Tint colours are grey, brown, amber and green, selected for driving suitability and each sunglass comes in three colours.
There are two close-fitting wrap styles - Lotus Sun 08, a sweeping plastic model and Lotus Sun 09, a modern take on the classic aviator.
