After much speculation, Google has released details of its augmented reality glasses.
Project Glass was unveiled on the Google website last week with a video showing what users could potentially see. 'A group of us from Google started Project Glass to build this kind of technology, one that helps you explore and share your world, putting you back in the moment. We want to start a conversation and learn from your valuable input,' said a Google statement.
The glasses are rumoured to use Google's Android software and are shown in the video using the Google+ social networking platform. 3G and 4G data connections, motion sensors and GPS are also believed to be included.
Project Glass follows the developer's experiments in low vision with a self-driving Toyota Prius (News 06.04.12).
