Public health must come first

Is he really expressing sympathy for Fashion Wear Services which sells its cosmetic lenses in body piercing parlours, hairdressers, fashion stores and most recently the Gadget Shop? I would have thought his priority where contact lenses are concerned was to protect and serve the British public and its ocular health. Since when did it become part of the Department of Health's brief to protect rogue traders exploiting defective legislation?
