Enterprising pupils (pictured) at Anderton St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Chorley sold jelly they had made during an open morning that raised £80 for nystagmus research.

Niagara Falls, the CN tower, Toronto and Blackpool Tower were all lit blue in recognition of the Nystagmus Network event Wobbly Wednesday, which took place on November 5.

Burnley defender and charity patron Steven Reid also gave away signed football boots to promote the day.

Richard Wilson, chairman of Nystagmus Network, said: ‘You have played your part. Stand tall. Be proud. Keep calm and wobble on as we do it all again in 2015.’
