Raiders target practices

Two practices in London's Hampstead have been targeted in a smash and grab crime spree in recent weeks.

Thousands of pounds worth of designer sunglasses were taken from David Clulow Opticians in the early hours of Wednesday April 11 by a gang of three men on mopeds who smashed open a side window.

The Hampstead and Highate Express reported that the April 11 incident was almost identical to one at Arthur Morrice Opticians at Rossylyn Hill two weeks before, when two men on a moped raided the practice in the middle of the night.

The report said police were keeping an open mind on whether it was the same gang.
