Ray-Ban gains LiteForce

Luxottica has brought a modern and practical twist to its Ray-Ban Aviator through the introduction of Ray-Ban LiteForce.

LightForce is lightweight, strong yet flexible thermoplastic which to date has found uses in the car, aerospace and medical industries. It has now been adopted for use with the classic lines of Ray Ban's aviator and square-fronted active sunwear models.

The properties of the material allow it to create thinner yet stronger frames while still providing a secure fit offering a stylish and practical result.

Luxottica said Ray-Ban LiteForce offered a more robust and lightweight alternative for active wearers while retaining the classic designs of the original. It expected the model to find younger buyers particularly attracted to its classic looks and robust performance.
