
Eyewear company read on has secured EU and US patents for its functional yet fashionable reading glasses, read on light.
The patented design included folding temples that transformed the glasses into a sleek, flat object, making them compact and easy to store.
Additionally, the ultra-thin lenses, which are slimmer than the frame itself, were designed to resist scratches when pushed out of their case or placed on a table.
Sandra Kaufmann, co-founder of read on, shared: ‘As a design-driven company with the aim of bringing technical innovations to market, it is very important to protect the products developed over the years with patents, even if it takes years and is very expensive.
