Record number join Specsavers pre-reg programme

Specsavers recruited 453 optometry graduates to its pre-reg programme this month – the multiple’s highest intake yet.

Doug Perkins, Specsavers joint group CEO, said the number represented over half of UK optometry graduates. The intake was a 12% increase on last year.

He said: ‘The success of the programme is down to the commitment of the local directors, supervisors and the pre-reg’s themselves and is underpinned by the Specsavers promise to provide the best training possible for all our clinical staff.’
