Replay Learning has introduced two new virtual lecture programmes for 2005 aimed at optometrists, DOs and contact lens opticians.
The computer-based distance learning programmes offer eye-care professionals the opportunity to watch regular lectures by 'leading experts on topical contact lens and dispensing-related subjects'.
The contact lens programme will comprise six GOC-approved modules and there are 12 points to be gained each year at a cost of £99 plus VAT.
Johnson & Johnson Vision Care is providing complementary subscriptions to its Acuvue Centre of Excellence practices as part of a professional support programme.
Meanwhile, DOs who do not fit contact lenses can gain eight CET points a year by subscribing to a specially designed quarterly dispensing programme at a cost of £78 + VAT.
Peter Charlesworth, Replay Learning director, said: 'In three years, the number of optometrists subscribing to virtual lectures has grown to more than 1,000. CLOs and DOs have different professional interests and they told us they needed specific programmes to suit their needs. We have responded by launching the programmes and a comprehensive calendar of CET conferences and workshops.'
<25C6> Over 80 delegates attended Replay Learning's one-day continuing education conference for East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire LOC. The conference, which took place at Willerby Manor Hotel, near Hull, enabled attendees to choose from seven lectures and five workshops.
