Optos has made a number of changes to its board of directors. The board has accepted the resignations of Saad Hammad and David Guyer, both non-executive directors of the company and of Douglas Anderson, an executive director.

Anderson remains with the company in his capacity as vice president of global advocacy.

Dr John Padfield, chairman of Optos, commented: 'Together the board has reviewed its size and composition to reflect the company's revised strategy recently presented at the AGM. Arising from that review, Saad, David and Douglas have agreed to leave the board. Each has served the board with dedication and integrity and we thank them for their contribution.

The board will continue to review its composition to meet the needs of the business and its corporate governance obligations and looks forward to guiding the company through the next phase in its development under the executive leadership of Roy Davis and his team.'
