Placebo effect likely to be responsible for any improvement on reading

Placebo and observer ‘Hawthorne’ effects were likely to be responsible for any improvement coloured overlays and lenses have on reading, according to a review in The College of Optometrists research journal, Ophthalmic and Physiological Optics.
