A revised Code of Practice for Domiciliary Eyecare has been published by the joint UK Domiciliary Committee.
Developed in collaboration with the optical bodies, copies of the revised code are being sent to primary care organisations, local and regional optical committees.
The revised code was published in light of the new GOS regulations. Thurka Sivapalan, chair of the joint UK Domiciliary Committee, said: 'We hope that the new version of the code will be adopted by all domiciliary service providers as well as PCTs, health boards, LOCs and regional optical committees as the guide on probity, standards and service delivery, for contractors, practitioners and primary care organisations alike.'
