Former footballer for England’s blind team walks Edinburgh Kiltwalk

A former footballer for England’s blind team has walked 24 miles as part of the Edinburgh Kiltwalk.

David Clarke, who has glaucoma and works for the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) as director of services, completed Kiltwalk’s Mighty Stride on September 15 with Matt Stringer, chief executive of RNIB and James Adams, director of RNIB Scotland.

Clarke said: ‘RNIB is determined to create a world where there are no barriers stopping blind and partially sighted people living the life they wish to lead, and funds raised through the Kiltwalk will support these efforts.’
