One of the highlights of Blind Veterans UK’s centenary year took place last week when 2,000 blind veterans and guests attended a garden party at Buckingham Palace. The event was hosted by the Countess of Wessex, a keen supporter of vision issues and a Patron of Vision 2020.

Attendees also included the Defence Minister, Mark Lancaster MP. The party took place on the hottest day of the year and guests took the opportunity to stroll around the Palace’s gardens and lakes.
