Run in the sun for RNIB NI

Charity

A father and son duo have raised £2,945 for sight loss charity Royal National Institute of Blind People Northern Ireland (RNIB NI).

Nevan Lavery and his son Adam completed the Barcelona marathon in order to raise sponsorship money for the RNIB NI.

Lavery’s daughter, Ella, was born with cataracts and, from an early age, has received support and advice from RNIB’s Children, Young People and Families service.

‘We wanted to raise as much as we could for RNIB’s Children, Young People and Families services,’ said Lavery. ‘We just want other children or young people with sight loss to benefit from the same help and support that Ella got from RNIB.’
