Third-quarter results for 2014 posted by Italian eyewear manufacturer Safilo have shown a 7.3 per cent increase in the group’s total revenues, up to €261.2m from €243.4m in the same period in 2013.
Wholesale business increased by 7.5 per cent to €239.2m during the quarter and group net profit increased by 27.9 per cent to €2.4m.
In Europe, group turnover increased by 1.7 per cent to €98.6m for the quarter. For the first nine months of 2014, sales grew by 4.7 per cent to €368.2m from €351.7m in 2013. No UK-specific figures were released. Group sales for the first nine months were €867.5m compared to €841.8m in the same period last year.
