Salt Optics does the simple things extremely well. Its frames use fine Japanese acetate and beta titanium temples for comfort, colourations are rich and impactful, and sunglass lenses are polarised CR39.
At Silmo, the company released a collaboration with high end Japanese bag manufacturer Briefing. The collaboration came about after the two companies were put in touch by mutual acquaintances.
The intention was simple; to create the best glasses case ever made, but the two brands also produced the panto-inspired Fairwind sunglass that featured bespoke pins and stitching graphics on the frame’s internals.
