UK contact lens firm Sauflon has announced its managing directors and senior leadership teams will remain in place following an agreement by The Cooper Companies to buy the UK contact lens firm for $1.2bn.

The company said the team, including joint managing directors David and Bradley Wells, would stay on to ‘assist with and manage the integration’.

A Sauflon statement described the deal as ‘an exciting new chapter for both companies as Sauflon’s unique product range can be taken to more markets globally in a faster timescale’. The deal provided CooperVision with a full suite of daily disposables in hydrogel and silicone hydrogel materials, it said, together with Sauflon’s portfolio of contact lens aftercare products.
