Scrivens begins trial of 'touch-screen' technology

Scrivens is piloting 'touch-screen' technology in an effort to give its patients more information about products and services.

The company has installed the new software at its refurbished Birmingham practice in Corporation Street. 'Affectiv Solutions' allows patients to decide which spectacles to buy by touching a screen to summon a detailed set of information. If successful, the software, which has been designed in conjunction with Leicester-based John Kirk Design Group, will be installed in Scrivens' 70 branches. Scrivens' group marketing manager Rob Warner said touch-screen technology had already proved a success with patients at the practice. 'The launch of touch-screen technology is our way of providing customers with even more information,' he added. 'This will ensure that they receive the best possible service in our branches.'
