Former Helix managing director Adrian Ellis has become Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care’s first commercial director as the multiple looks to future growth.

Scrivens credited Ellis with turning around the fortunes of the company, which is known for its Oxford maths sets. He has returned to optics after spells working as a DO and as a supplier, and will work with the company's operations and front line staff to enhance its product, infrastructure and patient service offer.

Company chairman Nicholas Georgevic said: ‘We are delighted to have someone of Adrian’s calibre join the Scrivens family.
