Scrivens, the Birmingham-based opticians, has won the regional Coutts Prize for Family Business.

The prize was launched to recognise the best run family businesses in England and Wales and Scrivens now goes through to the June national finals in the 5m-50m turnover category.

Nicholas Georgevic said: 'We are delighted to be recognised as a family business that embraces best practice. This award comes at a time of further expansion for the group.'
