The Scrivens Group is strengthening its foothold in Norwich by acquiring Tilletts Adams opticians.

The purchase of the two branches, located on Upper Giles Street and Plumstead Road in the city, takes the company to a national presence of 139 optical branches.

The company said its latest acquisition complements its rapid expansion of Scrivens' hearing care business The Hearing Company which has 12 dedicated hearing centres.

Scrivens' chairman and managing director, Nicholas Georgevic, said: 'Tilletts Adams' background and positioning demonstrates a clear fit with Scrivens' own ethos. Both are well-established family businesses sharing a commitment to first class customer care and continual investment in staff development and training. We are delighted to welcome all the Tilletts Adams staff.'
