A new searchable register of optometrists and dispensing opticians giving information about practice facilities for people with learning disabilities has been created by the charity SeeAbility.

Having added the national database to its Look up Information service as part of its eye 2 eye campaign, SeeAbility is calling for more practices to add their details.

The register lists facts about practice accessibility, additional tests available such as Kay picture tests, whether it offers domiciliary visits and whether people with learning disabilities and their carers can visit the practice before the test.

Practitioners self-appraise their service and enter information about their practice that would be useful for people with learning disabilities and their carers before a test.
