Seiko offers blue light protection

Seiko's new SuperReducedBlue range has been developed to provide comfort to wearers frequently exposed to modern devices

Seiko is set to introduce SuperReducedBlue (SRB) on all Seiko prescription lenses to offer protection for today’s modern electronic world.

The company explained that it had introduced the new product because of the large quantities of blue light emitted from computer screens,

TVs and portable devices that could cause discomfort for the wearer in the form of flickering or glare. The new Seiko SRB range of thinner and lighter lenses had been developed to provide long-term comfort for wearers who were frequently exposed to modern devices such as computer screens by filtering out the blue light- visible light in the wavelength from 380-500nm.
