Internet spectacle seller SelectSpecs is launching a tiered range of collections to 'favour most people's pockets' according to owner David McMillan.

The extension of SelectSpecs' range, which offers frames priced from £6 to more than £1,500, comes not long after Glasses Direct appears to have moved away from its low entry price approach (News 09.07.10).

The new Value range claims to offer the 'world's cheapest glasses' and includes a choice of 30 frames starting at £6 for full frame and £9 for rimless. Each Value frame comes with free 1.49 single-vision lenses, scratch resistant coating, UV protection and anti-reflection treatment. Postage and packing costs £3.50.
