Ayr optometrist Carol Semple has been named Optometrist of the Year at the annual Black & Lizars awards.
The multiple said Semple, (second left) who has been with the company since 2001, had a dedicated record of service and long standing ties to the community. She said: ‘I am delighted to have been chosen from an incredibly competitive field of talented and enthusiastic clinical professionals.’
Michelle Le Prevost, (left) managing director of Black & Lizars, added: ‘Carol is one of the hardest-working optometrists in the Black & Lizars family, and there is, believe me, some stiff competition. She is such a positive and engaging member of staff.’
Semple and Le Provost were joined by clinical services manager Morven Campbell and Jennifer Meighan from Coopervision.
Long service awards were handed out to OO Anne Donovan and Vicki McCormick, both of whom have worked for the company for 20 years.
Robert Stewart from the company’s photographic department bettered that, with 40 years’ service.
