Seven on the spot at BCLA event

Specialist contact lenses and clinical techniques along with an independent assessment of the latest products will be on the agenda at this year's BCLA Pioneers' Conference.

This year the BCLA Pioneers' Lecture will be delivered by optometrist Dr Alan Saks from New Zealand. Dr Saks is a leading authority on specialist contact lenses and a former president of the Contact Lens Societies of South Africa and New Zealand.

The programme of events will include a 'quick-fire session' in which seven renowned figures in optics will have seven minutes to present their topic. In addition, Professor Roger Buckley will for the first time present new guidelines on decontamination of contact lenses and ophthalmic devices.
