Shamir appoints Chris Hirst as lens consultant

Chris Hirst has joined Shamir UK as area lens consultant for the North East.

Hirst qualified as a dispensing optician in 1994 from Bradford and Ilkley Community College and has developed a career within the Rayner Group, most recently as its northern sales director.

Shamir said Hirst was a firm believer in offering patients the highest possible standards of eye care. Hirst added: ‘When spectacles are needed, this should be facilitated by providing the best products that are most suitable for the patient’s requirements. This is why I’m so excited about joining Shamir. With such an innovative and extensive portfolio of lenses I feel that I can really support eye care professionals by offering solutions for all of their patients’ needs.’
