Shamir extends Alpine partnership

Ophthalmic lens producer Shamir has announced the extension of its partnership with Alpine F1 Team as its optical performance partner.

As part of the extension Shamir will also become the optical performance partner for Alpine’s Esports team, and will provide ophthalmic assessments and improvements to gaming performance via lenses and safety equipment.

The esports team was founded in 2021 and train for up to eight hours a day to prepare for online races. Shamir said it would provide the squad with ‘cutting-edge gaming glasses with enhanced lens technology and increased protection to blue light.’
