Shamir's holistic myopia lenses

Optimee is Shamir’s new ophthalmic lens designed for myopia management, said to offer a holistic approach by considering the full experience of wearing spectacles and the wellbeing of the wearer.

Optimee is designed with Shamir Focusflow defocus technology, which the lens company said safeguarded children’s eyesight and offered a natural appearance while wearing frames.

A clinical trial comparing the progression of myopia and axial elongation with Optimee and single vision lenses showed axial elongation in children aged below 10 was slowed by 43% on average.
