Sight Care Group has acquired Vision Enhancers, an online low vision aid company marketing products directly to consumers, for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition would generate additional revenue opportunities in what Sight Care described as a growing sector of the market. Sight Care already operates two trading divisions marketing its own spectacle frame and ready-reader collections.
‘Vision Enhancers is a well-respected and niche company that dovetails perfectly with our existing trading divisions, and offers the group a number of opportunities to generate revenue for our members, and importantly, raise the awareness of affiliated members in local communities,’ said Sight Care chief executive Paul Surridge.
Over the years Vision Enhancers had developed a trade division working with hospitals and universities, a statement by Sight Care added.
