Changes to the landscape of independent optical practice will be explored at the 2022 SightCare conference at Telford International Centre on September 18-19.
The two-day event will give practitioners the opportunity to network and will include an awards presentation, workshops, keynote speakers and education with a theme of The Future is Now.
John French, chief executive at SightCare, said: ‘There is no going back. The fundamental changes in ways of working caused by Covid-19 require independent optical practices to change too. Innovative approaches to agility and inclusion, which helped practice owners and their teams through the crisis, are at the core of resetting practices for long-term resilience.’
Speakers included former British athlete and motivational speaker Kriss Akabusi, as well as Imran Hakim, founder and CEO of the Hakim Group, who will discuss the future of high street optical practice.
The Sunday workshop will encourage attendees to find new ways to deliver even greater value to patients, customer and staff amid online competition and an increase in the cost of living. Other topics included making the most of your brand, menopause in the workplace, myopia management and steps to becoming a sustainable practice.
