Cooper Companies has reported an 11 per cent increase in revenue year over year to $289.3m for the second quarter ended April 2010.
CooperVision revenue has also increased by 11 per cent to $242.3m. The company's silicone hydrogel product sales, which account for 22 per cent of revenue, rose by 136 per cent to $54m year on year and sales of its Proclear lens range, at 29 per cent of revenue, increased by 17 per cent to $69.5m.
Cooper's president and chief executive officer Robert S Weiss said: 'We delivered a very strong second quarter across our vision and surgical businesses. Both businesses posted double-digit revenue growth.'
