Austrian eyewear company Silhouette has opened its first ever store in Vienna’s first district with two floors of its eyewear brands, including evil eye and Neubau.
Michael Schmied, CMO at Silhouette, said: ‘My grandparents redefined eyewear 60 years ago—moving from visual aids to accessories. Since 2017, we’ve been offering lenses in addition to frames, which are manufactured in our ultra-modern Lens Lab at our headquarters in Linz. Ultimately, we’re now taking a big step towards our customers by offering consultation and sales.’
The House of Silhouette at Herrengasse 1 has opened ahead of the brand’s 60th anniversary and was designed so customers could browse and try-on its eyewear directly for the first time.
It promised a premium experience with shoppers given ‘holistic advice on vision and specific requirements,’ Silhouette said. Designer Peter Ippolito created a store focused on the themes of health and style and the ground floor features a 430sqft LED wall.
