German manufacturer ic! berlin will release an eight-strong collection of women’s ophthalmic frames with its signature sheet metal design.
‘The shapes are reminiscent of the 50s and 60s – the era of panto metal frames, browlines and cat’s eyes. Our ultramodern collection reimagines these traditional styles in subtle, modern materials – the cool technology of ic! berlin meets a classical aesthetic,’ said designers Sarah Hartbo and Paula Immich.
Colours range from rose to silver, with a dark anthracite hue which the designers said recreated ‘that little black dress’ feeling for the face.
