Silmo Istanbul reports increase in visitor numbers

Organisers of the Silmo Istanbul trade show have reported a 12.9 per cent increase in visitor numbers following the event late last month. Some 8,405 Turkish professionals attended the event, along with 565 international delegates, said joint organisers Comexposium and 24 Saat Ajans.

The event was created in 2013 as a spin off of Silmo Paris to serve the professionals at the crossroads between Europe and the Balkans, Central Asia, the Middle East and North Africa.

Over 100 exhibitors from the frames, lenses, contact lenses, materials and services sectors, many from Turkey, booked 8,000m2 of hall space at the Istanbul Expo Centre.
