Scheduling of IOFT in Tokyo and Vision Expo West in Las Vegas has been cited by the organisers of the Silmo world trade fair in Paris for a slight drop in the number of visitors from Asia and America.
However, visitor numbers from France were described as ‘stable,’ and the overall attendance figure of 35,103 delegates was up on 2012 (34,696), with organisers attributing this to momentum from other parts of the world. Forty-four per cent of attendees were from France and 56 per cent were from abroad. The number of student delegates was listed as 1,658.
